The Friends of the Goodhue County Fair (FGCF) mission is to provide support to the Goodhue County Fair, particularly for building maintenance, community education projects, and other needs to keep the Fair vibrant. Grants may be made directly to the GCF or any other organization, including a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, that has a project that meets the mission of the FGCF. Grants are made on a reimbursement basis, and only for projects approved prior to incurring the designated expense, unless the FGCF provides Board approval for an advance or alternative plan.
Small grant requests must be $10,000 or less and designated for a specific purpose consistent with the FGCF effort to meet the following goals:

- To improve livestock housing and exhibition infrastructure at the Fair;
- To support more opportunities for participation and exhibition by youth in agricultural and science education programs;
- To provide a safe, accessible, and healthy environment for youth, livestock and fair guests; and/or
- To support activities, events or infrastructure that helps to build and strengthen our rural and agricultural communities and economies.

Please note the following:
- Small grant requests may not be issued to any business or individual affiliated with a GCF or FGCF Board member.
- Funding may be requested by any business or organization that meets the intention and goal of the project, upon approval of project plan. If funds are distributed to a business or organization other than the GCF, the partnering business or organization may be asked to provide written evidence and support from the GCF of the project and of their intention to allow/permit the project to proceed, depending upon the nature of the project.
