Supporting agricultural education by providing and enhancing youth and adult experiences at the Goodhue County Fair

Who are we?

The Friends of the Goodhue County Fair is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and improving the Goodhue County Fair and it’s associated programs and work.

Our organization is separate from the Goodhue County Fair and its Board. The two groups have similar missions and are dedicated to working together on projects that improve the Fair.

Building for our Future

Have you noticed? Youth agricultural programs are thriving in Goodhue County. Even though fewer kids grow up on farms in today’s world, in Goodhue County more kids are participating and learning about agriculture, as well as the many other projects that encourage innovation, initiative, hard work and other important life skills.

Improving the Fair and its buildings is important to ensure animals and humans have adequate space, are safe and that there are accessible areas for viewing for all.

Friends of the GC Fair has worked to raise funds and support the building of four new livestock animal housing facilities in the past few years. But we are not done….there is still much to do and fundraising efforts continue to replace the aging dairy/cattle barn, build a covered outdoor arena and to support other projects at the Fair.
