Building for our Future

​Have you noticed?  Youth agricultural programs are thriving in Goodhue County.  Even though fewer kids grow up on farms in today’s world, in Goodhue County more kids are participating and learning about agriculture, as well as the many other projects that encourage innovation, initiative, hard work and other important life skills.  Our base of volunteers and support has helped build our programs to a point where our facilities are no longer able to provide adequate space, ensure the safety of animals and people, or provide accessible areas for viewing for all.  Many animals are housed in tents, shown in outdoor arenas and even late into the night to ensure everyone who wants to participate can.  

Friends of the Fair is currently working on raising funds to support renovation and replacement of our current animal housing building and show arena.  Current fundraising efforts include: 

• Annual membership drive
• Summer 2022 Heifer Raffle!
• New cattle housing and arena campaign
